There are many amazing women in the NFT space and one of them is Cath Simard — a photographer, digital artist, and workshop leader. She is also the top-earning female NFT artist on Super Rare!
In a tweet, Simard said “Shocked and proud to discover that I’m the #18 all time highest selling artist on @SuperRare and I believe highest selling woman?”. The crypto community congratulated her and said the achievement was well-deserved. We totally agree. The images she captures are breathtaking.
About Cath Simard
Simard is a Canadian-born photographer, digital artist, and educator. On her website, she said that her style meticulously blends reality with her imagination.
With her immense passion for the outdoors and wilderness, she captures the world. Then she gives her audience iconic composite images that leave them breathless.
You may recognize some of her work on social media and in featured in publications like Sony Alpha Universe, DP Review, Art of Visuals, Open Skies Magazine, and Patagon Journal.
Cath also leads multi-day workshops and expeditions in many places while sharing her work on her art with her audience. She wishes to inspire others to break out of their comfort zone and explore a world of endless possibilities.
We Need More Female Artists in the NFT Space
Aside from Simard, there are also other female NFT artists out there who are making a change and creating an impact like Yam Karkai who created her NFT Collection Women by Yam. But we still need more. In a report last November, women account for just 16% of the NFT art market. The industry should be more inclusive and diverse because we know there are still many talented and formidable women who deserve the recognition and spotlight.
Happy International Women’s Day to every amazing woman in the NFT industry and in the whole world!
